Update
Looking forward to my lil brother to come over and paint our basement next week! Yahoo! No pics today, because I'm feeling lazy....and truthfully the only people who ever look at my blog seem to be my sisters and they already know everything about my life anyway. Right girls? I mean let's be serious!

Congratulations Mike and Emily Van Handel!

We had a FABULOUS time celebrating with Mike and Emily this weekend as they joined their souls in marriage. The ceremony was at the farm where she grew up in Scandia, MN. The reception took place at Trollhaugen Ski Resort in Osceola, WI. I can pretty much say that she looked like she stepped right out of a bridal magazine. What an unforgettable day! I am so happy for you Em-Dolla and Dyna-Mike!

Luke was kind enough to buy us a new camera...just in time for Mike and Emily's wedding. So I will soon be updating the blog with pictures of all the fun we have again! Stay tuned!

Summer School and Summer Classes...
It seems these summer days are flying by! I am busy teaching summer school Monday through Thursday to 4th and 5th graders. I am the math guru and my friend Jenna is teaching them reading. We make a great team, and the kids I have are fabulous behavior-wise. They work really hard regardless of the fact they'd rather not be there.
I've also started my coursework at Hamline, going to night class four days a week. It is fun seeing Kristin at class...I think it is what motivates me to attend my class entitled "Public Policy." My other class is sort of an introduction to my program. We talk a lot about building community, reflection and social justice. My professor is very well-rounded and a joy to listen to. It feels good to be back in the classroom as a student. The Hamline Master's of Arts in Education program seems to be a good fit for me.
Luke's wine sales are doing quite well this summer and he continues to love his job. Between distributing wine and working at the liquor store he stays quite busy and I feel like I never see him. When we are both home, I'm working on homework and he's making business calls. Hopefully we'll be really rich someday and it will all be worth it. He is tending to his vegetable garden with great care. We are sure to have a ton of fresh veggies so stop by any time to steal some before the bunnies do. (Give it another week or 2.)
Have a happy day!!!
